Stevie Francis is off to a bad start in December for the Houston Rockets

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,Need to step up by alleyoop on Wednesday 12 December 2007 at 3:34 am

Stevie Francis has been awful so far this month. In 4 games (2 starts) in December, Francis is averaging 17.3 minutes, 3.8 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. Francis is also only shooting 26.7% so far this month. If Francis doesn’t start playing better soon his minutes will be hard to come by because of the depth the Rockets have on the roster.

Houston Rockets have all the piece to become an elite team except one. If I were Houston I’d aquire Jalen Rose as a starting or backup POINT GUARD. JALEN is the perfect player for HOUSTON. He’s experienced, an excellent ball distributor, and he could post up any PG in the league. Guarding PT guards on the defensive end would be a challenge for Rose but with Yao in the middle the disadvantage wouldn’t be significant. JR has not be with a team the calibur of Houston since his days in Indiana. Both the Rockets & Rose would benefit being matched up.
