The Houston Rockets are loaded at the point for the 2011-12 season
The Rockets boast a lot of quality depth at point guard, as they are three deep with potential starters. 25-year old Kyle Lowry will be the starter for the Rockets once again this year. He played in 75 games (71 starts) for the Rockets last year and he averaged 34.2 minutes, 13.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 1.4 steals per game. Lowry has now played in 312 games (101 starts) in his NBA career and he is averaging 26.1 minutes, 9.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.1 steals per game. He has a nice upside offensively and he’s a really good defensive player. 25-year old Goran Dragic is back for the Rockets. He played in 70 games (5 starts) for the Rockets & Suns last year and he averaged 17.6 minutes, 7.5 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. Dragic has now played in 205 games (8 starts) in his first three years in the NBA and he is averaging 16.6 minutes, 6.8 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game. 22-year old Jonny Flynn played in 53 games (8 starts) for the Timberwolves last year and he averaged 18.5 minutes, 5.3 points, 1.5 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game. He has now played in 134 games (89 starts) in his first two years in the NBA and he is averaging 24.8 minutes, 10.2 points, 2.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game. The Rockets are absolutely loaded at the point for the 2011-12 season.
